About Magno Matias

MAGNO DOS SANTOS MATIAS entered the World of Dance at the age of 12, in 2001. His mother, observing his son's innate gift for this art, encouraged him and worked hard for Magno to pursue and achieve his goal.

From the outset, Magno Matias identified with SAMBA and, thus, his first steps in the TRADITIONAL SAMBA were transmitted to him by Professor SÉRGIO FELICIANO.

In 2007, always seeking to learn and improve himself, he began his studies at SAMBA FUNKEADO, when he enrolled at JIMMY DE OLIVEIRA Dance Academy where, a few months after his admission, the Master, realising his aptitude and performance, invited him to participate of the Jimmy de Oliveira Dance Company, an initial step in his career as a teacher and dancer.

A studious, incessant, restless researcher, Magno Matias also teaches private lessons, including for the elderly. He is also the creator of and runs, one of the biggest dance events of Baixada Fluminense and Zona Norte in Rio de Janeiro, entitled BAIXADA IN DANCE, which is already in its fourth edition in 2017. Kayleigh grew up on the Sunshine Coast where she took dance classes at Sunshine Dance Centre from the age of 3. As she began to dance, Kayleigh discovered a strong passion for movement and the performing arts excelling in performances, eisteddfods and exams. Kayleigh undertook a range of dance styles including ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary and completed all Royal Academy of Dance exams in their graded syllabus, along with completing the intermediate level of their vocational syllabus with a distinction grade.

It was around this time Kayleigh discovered the Flying Trapeze! Kayleigh now lives on the Sunshine Coast to be closer to her family. Kayleigh takes trips to America when she can to develop her skills and share these with her students. She takes classes from leading performers who had been or were in shows such as Cirque Du Soleil! Kayleigh brings her discipline, grace and technique learnt in ballet to her aerial and dance shows creating a jaw dropping, elegant display of strength and beauty. Kayleigh is always commended for her bodylines and audience connection making her shows that little bit more special!

Kayleigh began to add latin dance to her repertoire in 2017 under the guidance of her partner Magno Matias. About Amin

I started my dancing journey in Brisbane 2014. I first learnt Bachata and then went onto learning my real loves, Zouk and Kizomba. I'm very passionate about Kizomba and Zouk, and I love sharing my knowledge with other people. I've taken private lessons with internationally recognized Kizomba instructors to further improve my dancing skills and musicality, and also furthered my dance by performing and djing at various events nationally. I have been teaching for four years now, and have taught at various dance festivals and events across Australia. I'm an easily approachable and sociable person, and like to take relaxed, positive classes that are creative and interesting. I always try to make classes fun for everyone but also challenging, so that all students learn something new. I have a strong sense of musicality and connection which are the main focus points of my lessons.
